Join Chicago's only full time professional plant ID guy Dave Odd for a walk around the Montrose Beach & Montrose Point area to see all the wild and wonderful plants (and possibly mushrooms too!) that grow right in the heart of the city. Guaranteed to learn about at least 50 plants! Meet right in front of the Wilson Skate Park by the S&P parking lot.

No picking, harvesting, or foraging of any kind is permitted, and this event is observation-only in accordance with Chicago Park District regulations. No foraging will be taking place during this event. Foraging is strictly prohibited.
Due to a miscommunication with the Chicago Park District regarding permits for this event, Eventbrite suspended ticket sales on their platform for this event. It is still happening and the issue is getting resolved but for now accepting payments via Venmo and CashApp using the handle “odddave", you can also pay through Zelle using oddproduce@hotmail.com or 847-409-8623, or pay by check or cash day of, just text Dave to confirm.
